The Atlanta Meth Task Force was started in 2004 by a diverse group of local recovering meth users, community service providers, researchers, and other concerned persons concerned with the growing use of meth in Atlanta’s gay male community. Our purpose is to educate others of the destruction that this drug can cause and to offer hope to individuals who are suffering from its use.
The Atlanta Meth Task Force is a now a part of AID Atlanta, the Southeast’s Largest HIV/AIDS non-profit organization!
As a part of AID Atlanta’s Gay Men’s Outreach and Education Program, Atlanta Meth Task Force will continue to work to promote awareness and understanding of the dangers of methamphetamine use. This is especially important because of research linking meth use and rising HIV infections in gay men.
